The Digimon animation series will celebrate 20 years of their appearance in the animation industry next year. To welcome the celebration, Toei Animation has prepared a new film for the Digimon Adventure series. This film will be the last film for the Digimon series, which will be a touching “farewell” for the fans.
The latest film is titled Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna and will again feature selected children from the original Digimon animated series. The difference is that the children will not appear as children anymore, but they will rise in the adult version. In addition to the characters, staff on the original Digimon series also returned to work on this film project.
After officially announcing the title and teaser poster at the Anime Expo 2019, Toei Animation released the first teaser trailer formally for the film on their official Twitter account. In the teaser, we will see how Tai and his Digimon, Agumon, prepare for a final battle. They will face enemies who are surging into the real world.
We will also present a new and different form of Digivice. Tomohisa Taguchi directs the film, and if everything goes according to plan, the film Last Evolution Kizuna will screen in Japan on February 21, 2020.
