Playmobil The Movie is a live-action action animated comedy. This English-language animated film based on the German building toy, Playmobil, directed by Lino DiSalvo on the director’s debut. Greg Erb & Jason Oremland wrote this screenplay.
Initial concept by Blaise Hemingway and produced by On Animation Studios, voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy, Gabriel Bateman, Daniel Radcliffe, Jim Gaffigan, Meghan Trainor and Adam Lambert. Playmobil The Movie was released in France on 7 August 2019 by Pathé.
And in the United Kingdom on 9 August 2019 by StudioCanal UK. Scheduled for release in the United States in 2020 by STXfilms. In Indonesia, you can watch it today in theatres.
Synopsis Playmobil The Movie.
Marla is a free young girl. He who dreams of travelling around the world, but his plans must delay. Marla received news that her parents had died in an accident. Four years later, Marla grew up to care for her sister, Charlie. Charlie and Marla have felt lonely since the death of their parents. Charlie sneaks out to visit the toy museum with the Playmobil exhibition. Marla comes and scolds Charlie for running away.
But the lighthouse illuminated the exhibition and began to float statues, and be transported to the Playmobil universe. Marla and Charlie find themselves in a Viking battle. There Charlie joined in until several pirates kidnapped him and mysteriously disappeared.
Feeling disappointed, Marla went to the nearest town, hoping to ask for help. Unable to get help, Marla meets with Del. Del is a food truck driver, whose clients refuse to pay for it with a pink straw. Pink straw can make city horses grow wings.
When Marla tries to form a posse to find Charlie, Del takes him out of trouble. Because at that time Marla showed Viking gold to the whole city. He then agreed to help Marla find her sister to get gold. Elsewhere, Charlie has taken to a city called Constantinopolis. Charlie and other figures were locked up and presented by Emperor Maximus who intended them to fight to the death.
Charlie and the other characters try to escape by taking back the ship of one of the prisoners but backfiring. Meanwhile, Marla and Del meet with Rex Dasher. Rex Dasher is a secret agent and Del’s old friend. Rex explains that several characters have disappeared, including Charlie.
They sneak into an evil spy base to find information about Charlie’s disappearance. Despite some problems, they managed to collect data. But Rex was finally captured by the pirates too. He is taken to Constantinopolis and meets Charlie, who tells him that Marla has been looking for him.
Filled with hope, Charlie escapes from their prison and lets the rest of the characters escape. Then how can Marla find Charlie? Watch it in your favourite movie theatre.
