The trailer and synopsis of the 2019 Joker film, tells the story of the early mortal enemies of Batman. On Wednesday 3 April 2019, the trailer for the latest Joker 2019 movie finally screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Shortly thereafter the trailer for the 2019 Joker film immediately went viral on social media and even became a trending topic on Twitter.
Previously, many fans doubted the choice of director Todd Philips chose Joaquin Phoenix as Joker. Because so far the character of the Joker himself has been played by various actors call it the late Heath Ledger and Jared Letto in Suicide Squad.
Many feel that Phoenix will not be able to present a new and different Joker than its predecessor. But after watching the trailer, many viewers were actually anesthetized by the appearance of the veteran actor.
SYNOPSIS
The trailer tells a glimpse of Arthur Fleck’s early life before he turned into Batman’s mortal enemy, the Joker. Arthur Fleck is described as a stand-up comedian who failed and slowly entered the world of crime in Gotham in the 1980s.
In the trailer was a skinny Fleck. Some scenes show the bumps of the bones, both on the back and chest. Fleck, who also took care of his sick mother (Frances Conroy), said his life’s goal was to bring laughter and happiness. But his life is far from it.
As a stand-up comedian, he failed. He often experienced physical violence from people around him. In one scene, Arthur Fleck was even seen being beaten by a group of young people. On one occasion Arthur Fleck visited Arkham Hospital, but it was not known why he was there.
The picture then shows him already wearing clown makeup on the Gotham subway. Even in the scene, Fleck seems to laugh loudly, which is the hallmark of Joker, Batman’s mortal enemy. The 2-minute and 24-second teaser ended with Joaquin Phoenix as Joker.
He wore a green shirt, orange vest, wrapped in a red suit. He walked in an apartment corridor with a bunch of flowers. One thing that attracts attention is the background music that accompanies the teaser is “Smile” song by Charlie Chaplin, which was popularized by Nat King Cole.
If the original version of “Smile” can entertain and calm the listener, the Joker version of “Smile” sounds like the background music for a horror movie.
The Warner Bros. film was directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Robert De Niro (Murray Franklin), Zazie Beetz (Sophie Dumond), and Frances Conroy (Penny Fleck). The film will be screened on October 4, 2019.
