Disney released the trailer Maleficent 2, titled Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The film which is a sequel to Maleficent introduces Maleficent’s new enemy, Queen Ingrith. Queen Ingrith is played by iconic actress Michelle Pfeiffer.
Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning returned as Maleficent and Princess Aurora. Prince Phillip, previously played by Brenton Thwaites, was replaced by Harris Dickinson. Because the schedule that clashed Brenton Thwaites could not play in this film.
The story in the trailer takes place after the first 2014 film. Aurora finally proposed by Prince Phillip. But Maleficent did not agree with Aurora over Phillips. “Love doesn’t usually end well,” Maleficent said in the two-minute trailer.
The trailer also shows Queen Ingrith who came from a neighboring kingdom. Ingrith is Aurora’s future mother-in-law. Maleficent saw things in the Queen of the Kingdom that Aurora didn’t know. Aurora that has been raised by Maleficent faced a choice.
Should he choose a mother who has been raised or a prospective new family? While Aurora with Maleficent must also guard their kingdoms and the magical creatures that lived there.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil produced by Walt Disney Studio is directed by Joachim Ronning. Angelina Jolie also became a producer in this film along with Joe Roth and Duncan Henderson.
The film which is a spin-off from the Sleeping Beauty Animation film was adapted from the fairy tale La Belle Au Bois Dormant, by Charles Perrault. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil based on a story written by Linda Woolverton. Then adapted to the film script by Linda Woolverton, Micah Fitzerman-Blue, Noah Harpster.
