Synopsis Elysium
The rich and powerful live in Elysium, the giant space habitat in the orbit of the earth. Elysium is an advanced technology, with devices such as Med-Bays that can cure all ailments, reverse the aging process, and regenerate body parts. A longstanding dispute between Elysium and the earth, the people wanted Elysian technology to cure their illness.
Max Da Costa, a former car thief, lives in the ruins of Los Angeles and works on the assembly line for Armadyne. Run by CEO John Carlyle, who originally designed Elysium, Armadyne produces Elysium weaponry, as well as robots that control the earth. During an industrial accident at the factory, Max was trapped in a kiln using a radioactive source and was hit by a lethal dose of radiation.
After being saved, he was told he had five days to live before giving up. Desperate to be healed, he and his friend Julio sought help from a human smuggler named Spider to take him to Elysium. The only chance for survival is to use Med-Bay.
