20th Century Fox has revealed the first trailer for The Call of the Wild (2020). This film is the latest adaptation of the classic Jack London novel of the same name. This story has previously been brought to the big screen several times before, but never like this. And not only because Harrison Ford was in the lead role, but because he partnered with a CGI dog to bring the story to life nowadays.
Aside from Ford as the main protagonist, the film was also enlivened by Dan Stevens (Apostle, Legion), Cara Gee (The Expanse), and Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle).
Synopsis
The Call of the Wild is centred on a big-hearted dog named Buck, whose life was shaken up massively when he was suddenly taken from his luxurious home in California and moved to the frozen wilderness of Alaska Yukon. Set up during the Gold Rush period in the 1890s, Buck became the last recruit in the mail-delivery dog sledge team, and eventually became the leader of his group. Buck experiences a lifetime of adventure after meeting John Thornton (Harrison Ford), finally finding his true place in the world on his journey.
